The next step towards completing M4 is done

A great deal has happened under the hood. We are particularly proud of our collaboration service, which enables documents to be edited simultaneously and, in its new version, displays every unsaved field-level change made by all users working on the document in parallel.

Multi-tier connections have been added to our “collections” – entries, products, events, places, jobs, campaigns and recipes – making it much easier to create deep hierarchical structures.

For products, tiered bills of materials can be maintained easily by combining product combinations, which can themselves contain further product combinations. An automatic variant generator assists with creating and assigning large numbers of variants.

Events can now be divided into sub-events, which can in turn be divided into component events, allowing even complex seminar series to be visualised. Events can be linked to products, turning a purely informational event into a complete event booking system with ticketing. Naturally, tickets can also be generated as PDFs with QR codes, for example, in the e-commerce system.

The editor has been expanded for website management and widgets. Content can be created freely using the editor, Markdown or HTML.

Support for multiple currencies and automatic currency conversion based on the euro have been added to the e-commerce system.

Channel outputs can now be stored in the system folder, from which external services can retrieve them for static site delivery.

Photoshop files (PSD) containing layer information can now also be read as media. This is an important step towards editable layers for simple PSD files.

For the M4.1 roadmap, we have already evaluated a RAW interpreter and are testing the first implementations.

Many hundreds of additional features and detailed improvements, such as complete folder uploads for media, have also been added during this work.
